Anja Gysin is born 1979 in Solothurn and studied dance and performance in Salzburg and Freiburg. From the beginning on she created her one choreographies and pieces. From 2007 on she created diffrent solo productions: FrauSein, Corvidea, Dämonen in mir - What's got the power? On the edge of time, The Viech, which were performed in different locations in Switzerland. Anja Gysin is also known for activities outside the theater space. Her site-specific performances took place in churches, on bridges and gorges as well as in bars. In 2010 she was awarded with the Werkjahrespreis of the Canton of Solothurn and in 2012 she received a six-month fellowship at the Cité International des Arts in Paris. During this time she founded her own Dance Company betweenlines and has been working in cooperation with the theater orchestra Biel Solothurn. 2013 she created the piece WILLKOMMEN ZU HAUSE - with 6 international dancers and a live musician, the production "Bon Voyage!" with five dancers and 16 amateur dancers in the Rythalle Solothurn and "TraumRaum" - a poetic and expressive dance performance.

Since 2017 she creates with great success dance pieces in nature. A sight specific combo with dance, music, installation an nature.
